COSTS and TICKETING
The CBOI is a registered Charity and is totally “not for profit”. The project is partially self- funding through ticket sales. However, ticket sales alone do not cover the cost and so the CBOI is very grateful to be supported by Department of Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht Affairs, the Department of Education and Science as well as corporate and individual sponsors.
PR: Budget restrictions mean that we have to keep advertising costs to a minimum. To ensure everybody receives information about Peace Proms, schools are asked to supply the CBOI with the email addresses and mobile phone numbers of the parents/guardians of the children involved in the choir. (With their prior permission). Under our data protection policy, this information is not shared. Although only a small number of texts and emails are sent, this ensures that all parents are fully informed about Peace Proms and have equal access to all information. This policy has ensured huge savings on advertising and the feedback from Parents has been very positive.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO RECORDING: DVD and photographic records of concerts and workshops will be taken. Please make sure that the parents of every child in your choir have signed an agreement giving permission for children to be part of photographic and DVD recordings.

MESSAGE FROM A PARENT

As a parent with a child in the choir from Rathmore Primary School I felt very privileged and humbled to be able to witness something at the Waterfront Hall last Sunday that touched me very deeply. The emotion that I felt whilst watching the energy of the conductor, the response from the orchestra, the haunting melodies and the places the pipes take you within your own soul as only they can, and the innocent powerful presence all the choirs gave with their vocals was something that will live with me for the rest of my life. I thank you for giving my daughter the chance to experience that and to be honest, for making me a better person with a better outlook for the future of Ireland, both North and South.

My eternal thanks and kindest regards,

Glenn, Belfast

MESSAGE FROM AN AUDIENCE MEMBER

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend this magnificent concert. The quality and professionalism of all your shows is always of the very highest standards but this particular show surpassed all I have had the privilege of being present at to date. Congratulations to you and everyone involved in the show.

Best wishes for the future.
Tom, Co. Down

MESSAGE FROM A TEACHER

What a wonderful celebration of talent and genius! Our parents were overwhelmed and our children had a magical opportunity that will live with them forever. “Be ambitious for the higher gifts” – The CBOI brought us these gifts through the power and beauty of music. One parent confessed to me that she’d never seen an orchestra before and felt that the whole night was a new education. Our pupils haven’t stopped talking about their experiences of that night, and the requests to join the choir have skyrocketed!

I wish you continued success in all your ventures, and, please invite us back next year!
